The words your buyers actually type, and why they are not the words on your site
Your site says precision engineering solutions. Your buyer types CNC turned parts supplier Rajkot. Same company, and only one of those gets found.

There’s a gap on almost every site we audit. The company describes itself in the language of its own industry association. The buyer searches in the language of the thing they need right now. The two barely overlap.
What a real buying search looks like
Buyers who are close to ordering type long, specific queries. They include the size, the grade, the standard, and the city. Not because they’re sophisticated searchers. Because that’s what’s in their head.
- Cotton yarn 30s combed compact Coimbatore
- HT panel manufacturer Vadodara IS 8623
- NABL accredited lab thyroid profile Pune price
- MS pipe supplier Ahmedabad IS 1239 heavy class
- Part time CFO services Chennai for manufacturing
Notice what these have in common. Every one contains a qualifier your marketing copy probably drops because it seemed too much detail.
Why generic terms are a trap
Ranking for pipe manufacturer is close to impossible and mostly worthless. It’s dominated by directories and marketplaces, and the traffic it sends is people comparing, students, and competitors.
Ranking for the long specific query is achievable, because usually nobody has written a page that answers it. The volume is small. The intent is enormous.
How to find your own list without paying for a tool
- Ask sales. Whoever answers the phone knows the exact phrasing buyers use. Write down twenty questions they get every week.
- Read your own enquiry emails. The words buyers use in the first email are the words they typed into Google half an hour earlier.
- Use Google’s own suggestions. Start typing your product into Google and read the dropdown. That list is real searches.
- Scroll to People also ask. Those are real questions with real volume, handed to you free.
- Check Search Console. If your site has any traffic, the Performance report shows the actual queries that already reach you. Most companies have never opened it.
Then write the page
One page per real question or product. The heading uses the buyer’s words. The first two sentences answer it directly, before any company background.
Google explains how it generates snippets from page content, and the same principle applies to assistants. They favour pages that answer the question early and plainly, for the same reason a busy buyer does.
The city question
Indian B2B search is heavily geographic. Buyers add a city because they want somebody who can deliver and who they could visit. If your site never names the cities you serve, you’re invisible for a large share of the searches that matter.
Name them as text on the page. Not in a map embed, not in an image. Written out, in a sentence a person would actually say.
