Terms of engagement

The commercial terms every engagement runs on. A signed scope always takes precedence over anything here, and where the two differ the scope wins.

The audit

Five working days from the day we start. You receive a written report, a 45 minute walkthrough call and the raw measurements. The report is yours to keep, to share internally and to act on with any vendor you choose, including instead of us. That is the arrangement rather than a favour.

The rebuild

Four to six weeks from the day you approve the findings, assuming somebody on your side is available to answer questions and approve copy within a working day. If that person is not available the timeline extends, and we will say so at the point it happens rather than at the end.

What you own

On final payment, you own the site: the files, the content, the design as delivered, and the accounts, all in your company name. The domain and hosting are registered to you rather than to us, from the beginning. We do not hold anything hostage and we do not need to.

We retain the right to describe the work and to show screenshots of it, unless you ask us not to, in which case we will not.

Payment

The audit is invoiced on delivery. A rebuild is invoiced in two parts, on approval of the findings and on handover. Invoices carry GST and are raised against your registered entity. Terms are fifteen days.

Maintenance

Monthly, and you can stop at the end of any month. On stopping you receive the files, the accounts and a handover document. There is no notice period and no exit fee.

If it is not working

Either side can end an engagement in writing. You pay for work completed to that point and you receive everything produced to that point. We would rather end something early than deliver a site neither of us is happy with.

What we do not do

We do not guarantee a search position, because nobody can. We do not buy links. We do not write claims about your business that we cannot see evidence for, and we will ask for that evidence.

To be completed before launch. Add the registered entity name and address, the governing jurisdiction for disputes, and confirm the payment terms above match what you actually intend to offer.
