Drag the handle. That is the difference.

Five Indian businesses, each shown as the site that exists and the site that should. Both halves are live pages rather than pictures of pages, so you can read every word on either side, and so can a search engine.

What the audit finds

  • A recruitment fraud warning is the largest red element on the page, ahead of the company name.
  • Nine top level links in one row. The last one drops below the menu it belongs to.
  • Three photographs at three different crops, cut to fill the row rather than composed.
  • Body copy at eleven pixels, on a page most visitors open on a phone.

Four partners, four photographs, and what each of them actually handles.

People buy professional services from people. A list of qualifications is not a person.

PracticeHow this firm handles the work, not what the law says.
NotesA short piece every month, dated this year.
Before After

The left half is reconstructed from a real Indian chartered accountancy firm website that is still live today. Structure and navigation follow it exactly; the name, logo and every contact detail are redacted.

Drag the handle, or focus it and use the arrow keys. Both sides are live pages rather than screenshots, so every word on them is real text.

What the audit finds

  • Contact details, address and a Google Translate widget crammed into a 12px utility strip above everything else.
  • A three slide carousel. Published research puts views of slide two in low single digits, so two thirds of that hero is never seen.
  • Six flat colour tiles of equal weight. Nothing indicates which service the firm actually wants an enquiry for.
  • A vertical Quick Enquiry rail glued to the right edge, a pattern from around 2014 that most visitors now read as an advert.

What the rebuild changes

  • People. A photograph and a line on what each partner handles.
  • Practice. Pages describing how this firm works, not what the law says.
  • Enquiry. A phone number above a short form, not a rail on the edge.

Drag the handle, or focus it and use the arrow keys. Both sides are live pages rather than screenshots, so every word on them is real text.

What the audit finds

  • A seven slide carousel. Six of those slides are effectively unpublished.
  • Two vertical side rails competing for the same attention, neither of them the primary action.
  • Seven top level nav items with no visual hierarchy and no single primary action anywhere in the header.
  • The hero states a product name with no line explaining what it is or who it is for.

What the rebuild changes

  • Lanes. Origin, destination, transit time and equipment on each.
  • Fleet. Tonnage, body type and count, so a shipper can self qualify.
  • Quotes. One primary action in the header, owned by a named person.

Drag the handle, or focus it and use the arrow keys. Both sides are live pages rather than screenshots, so every word on them is real text.

What the audit finds

  • Two full navigation rows, twelve items, before a visitor has seen anything the company makes.
  • All caps display type stacked over a busy image, at a contrast ratio that fails on a phone in daylight.
  • A vertical rail of unlabelled icons. Icon-only navigation tests badly with every audience over forty.
  • A Scroll cue at the foot of the hero, which is the page admitting it was not obvious.

What the audit finds

  • A promotional banner carousel with the offer, the price and the call to action all baked into the image, so none of it is searchable.
  • Dashed border buttons, a styling convention that dates the whole page to around 2015.
  • Two navigation rows plus a city selector, with the three things patients actually want pushed into a floating card.

About this page

Five questions people ask about it.

Are the after figures real results?

They are targets. Under 900 KB above the fold and under two seconds on a 4G connection are numbers we build to and that anybody can verify with a browser.

Why is this not a page of screenshots?

A screenshot is an image. Search engines cannot read a word inside it, so a page built from screenshots is close to invisible in search. Both sides here are real HTML, so every heading, product name and line of copy is indexable.

Will my site look like the right-hand side?

No. These illustrate the method rather than a template. What a rebuild produces comes out of your own audit, your own range and your own buyers.

How long does a rebuild like this take?

Four to six weeks from the day you approve the audit findings. The audit itself takes five working days.

Can we do only the worst three findings?

Yes, and it is often the right call. Fixing three findings usually takes a week and recovers most of the loss. If the numbers move, you have evidence for the full rebuild.

Yours will read differently. That is what the audit is for.
